    SCR De-NOx Equipment Description

SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) De-NOx equipment is a technology used to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. It is widely applied in power plants, industrial boilers, waste incineration plants, and other high-temperature exhaust gas treatment systems. The core principle of this equipment is to use a catalyst to reduce nitrogen oxides to harmless nitrogen gas (N₂) and water (H₂O) within a specific temperature range, thus achieving a reduction in pollutant emissions.

    1. Working Principle

The main process of SCR De-NOx technology includes the following steps:

    • Reductant Injection: Ammonia (NH₃) or urea solution is typically used as the reductant. These reductants are injected uniformly into the flue gas through injection systems, where they chemically react with the nitrogen oxides.
    • Catalytic Reaction: The flue gas containing nitrogen oxides mixes with the reductant and passes through the catalyst layers installed in the reactor. The catalyst can be titanium-based, vanadium-based, tungsten-based, or other metal oxides. It accelerates the reduction reaction at a relatively low temperature (300°C-400°C), converting NOx into nitrogen gas and water vapor.
    • Purified Gas Emission: After the catalytic reaction, the gas is purified, and the concentration of nitrogen oxides is significantly reduced to meet environmental emission standards. The cleaned gas is then discharged into the atmosphere through a chimney.

    2. Key Features

    • High NOx Removal Efficiency: SCR technology typically achieves nitrogen oxide removal efficiency of 90%-95% or higher, making it one of the most effective De-NOx technologies available.
    • High Adaptability: The equipment can adapt to different types of fuels and industrial applications, widely used in coal, oil, and gas boilers, as well as in industries such as cement and steel.
    • Stable Operation: SCR systems can operate stably for extended periods, making them suitable for continuous industrial production.

    3. Advantages

    • High Emission Reduction: SCR is currently recognized as one of the most effective NOx control technologies, especially suitable for fields with strict emission requirements.
    • Mature Technology: SCR technology has been widely adopted since the 1970s and is now highly mature and reliable.
    • Flexibility: The system can be adjusted and optimized according to different industrial requirements, including the use of different reductants and catalyst formulations to accommodate varying operating conditions.

    4. Application Areas

    • Power Plants: Especially in coal-fired power plants, SCR De-NOx technology is the mainstream solution for controlling nitrogen oxide emissions.
    • Industrial Boilers: SCR is also widely used in high-temperature industrial furnaces such as those in steel, cement, and glass production.
    • Waste Incineration Plants: The flue gas from waste incineration contains large amounts of NOx, and SCR De-NOx technology effectively reduces such emissions.
